Common Password Issues
If you’re having trouble with your password, consider the following:
- Be sure you are logging into the correct site for streaming: CriterionChannel.com and not Criterion.com
- Email typos or mismatches: Verify that you are using the same email address used during signup. Check your confirmation email to confirm.
- Punctuation matters: For example, email.email@gmail.com and emailemail@gmail.com are treated as different addresses.
- Domain differences: @gmail.com and @googlemail.com may be the same to Google, but our system sees them as different addresses. The case is the same for @icloud.com, @me.com, and @mac.com
Logging in on the Web
If you have a password or need to reset it:
- Click Sign in in the top right corner of the page and enter your email address.
- Click Next.
- Underneath the password field, select Reset your password.
- Enter your email address and select Reset Password.
- If you are an active customer, you will receive an email with a link to set a new password. Open your inbox and click the link.
- Note that a password reset link expires and may need to be generated again if not used soon enough.
Note: If you do not receive an email to reset your password or to sign in, you may be using the wrong email address. Try other addresses you may have signed up with and check all inboxes, including spam folders.
Logging in on via the Criterion Channel App
If you have an existing Criterion Channel subscription, be sure to select the Sign In option on the Criterion Channel App version you are using, instead of Sign Up.
Subscribed via Mobile App
Sometimes when you sign up on the iOS or Android app, it won't recognize you as a subscriber right away. If this is happening for you, please try the following steps to connect it to your app subscription:
If you are not able to log in to the Criterion Channel App after you’ve subscribed, proceed with the following to sync your account
When using an iOS/Apple device:
- Make sure you are signed into the iCloud account (this is where the previous subscription purchases are saved.) You can follow this help article from Apple for instructions.
- Open the Criterion Channel App on your iPhone or iPad and sign out completely if you're signed in currently.
- At the main sign in screen, tap the "Restore purchase" option at the very bottom of the screen. Do not attempt to log in; you need to be signed out for this to work.
When using an Android device:
- Open the Google Play app
.
- Tap your Profile icon.
- Tap Manage apps & device
Sync apps to devices.
- Select the devices that you want to sync apps with your phone or tablet.
