You can cast videos to your TV using a Chromecast device or a TV with Chromecast built in. The steps below vary depending on the device you're using.
Before You Start
Before casting, make sure that:
- Your casting device and Chromecast (or Chromecast built-in TV) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network
- Your Chromecast device is powered on and set up correctly
- You are using a Chromecast-compatible app (where applicable)
- If you're using Android, Power Saving Mode is turned off, as it may affect casting performance

- Tap the Cast icon (📺).
- Select your TV from the list of available devices.
Note: Features and performance may vary depending on your TV manufacturer. We may not be able to troubleshoot issues that are specific to individual TV models.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you're unable to cast:
- Verify that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Restart your Chromecast, TV, and casting device.
- Ensure you're using the latest version of the app you're casting from.
- Confirm that the app supports Chromecast.
- Grant any permissions requested by your device or the Google Home app.
- If you're using Android, turn off Power Saving Mode, as it may interfere with casting.
Casting performance may vary depending on your Wi-Fi connection, device compatibility, and network quality.
